Accommodation & travel

The university is located close to the Henri Coanda International Airport, and is easily reachable with public transportation. Bus 783 will take you to the city center, 780 to the main railway station. Both stop at Piata Presei, which is the closest stop to the university. You can also order a taxi from the terminal. Local taxis are very cheap (about 0,3 Euro/km) and you can also use  Uber. We recommend using the app Clever Taxi  to order taxis while in Bucharest.

A preferential rate for conference participants is available at the Athénée Palace Hilton Bucharest, which is located in the very heart of the city. Book your room using this link (valid until July 11th). You will need to use public transport (e.g. bus 783, subway) or taxi/Uber to get to the conference venue.

A few hotels are within walking distance from the conference venue: Pullman is the closest, while Ramada Parc, Crowne PlazaDomenii Plaza, and Casa Comana are also quite close. Other hotels are within easy reach (5 -15 mins) by taxi, Uber, or public transport. 1 Mai station on line M4 is the closest metro stop to the university. Walk on Clabucet St. and Expozitiei Blvd. to the university. This area of the city is developing, please take it as such.

Conference venue (SNSPA, 30A Expozitiei Blvd.):

In terms of city safety, TripAdvisor states that generally Bucharest is safe for traveling. „In comparison with many other major cities in Europe, violent crime and serious risks are low“. Like in many other big cities, there are some risks associated to petty theft. Upon arrival, participants will receive a city guide and some basic health and safety advice.
